School Readiness Program (4C)
Even before children attend prekindergarten, they gain from experiences that help them be ready for school. While helping children prepare for school, the School Readiness Program provides child care so a parent can work or attend a training or education program.
The program is funded primarily by a federal Child Care and Development Fund Block Grant. DEL administers the program at the state level.
VPK Program
The Voluntary Pre-Kindergarten Program or VPK Program at Hands On Academy is ideal for children aged 4 years old or those who will be 4 years old in the coming September of the current year.
VPK was conceptualized to ease young children into more structured early childhood learning. They will be taught skills to cope with kindergarten and higher school years.
USDA Food Program
Research shows that well-nourished children are healthier, more attentive, and have better mental performance than children who are under-nourished.
The Child Care Food Program (CCFP) provides nutritious meals and snacks for healthy growth and to reduce obesity risk. This program is funded by the U.S. Department of Agriculture, Food and Nutrition Service.

"Our son was at this daycare from infant to toddler until we moved. They cared for him with love and compassion! The staff taught him so many lessons and always informed us of any concerns."
